This Cookie Policy explains how the apsalescoach.com website uses cookies and similar technologies. The desktop App does not use browser cookies.
B.1. What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser when you visit a website. Cookies allow a site to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and gather usage data.
B.2. Cookies we use
We use a deliberately minimal set of cookies:
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ap_ref |
apsalescoach.com | Records the referral / affiliate code in the URL when you visit /r/<code> so we can credit the referrer if you sign up |
60 days | Functional |
sb-* (Supabase) |
apsalescoach.com | Keeps you signed in after you authenticate via magic link | Session / 30 days | Strictly necessary |
| Stripe cookies | js.stripe.com / checkout.stripe.com | Fraud prevention, session handling on the Stripe-hosted checkout page | Session / persistent | Strictly necessary |
We do not use:
- Advertising or marketing cookies
- Third-party tracking pixels (Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, TikTok, etc.)
- Cookies that track you across other websites
- Persistent identifiers used for behavioural profiling
B.3. Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics for website analytics. Plausible:
- Does not use cookies
- Does not collect personal data
- Does not require a cookie consent banner under UK or EU rules
- Aggregates pageviews, referrers, and country-level visit data only
You can read more at plausible.io/privacy.
B.4. Why we don't show a big cookie banner
UK and EU rules (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 and the EU ePrivacy Directive) require explicit consent for any cookie that is not strictly necessary for the service requested. The cookies we use are either:
- Strictly necessary (sign-in, payment processing), which do not require consent;
- Functional (referral attribution), which we are required to disclose but for which the legitimate basis is your decision to engage with the referral URL.
We disclose all of the above transparently in this Policy. We do not believe a banner that interrupts your visit is appropriate when there are no advertising or tracking cookies in use. If you disagree, you can disable all cookies in your browser settings.
B.5. Managing cookies
You can configure your browser to refuse all cookies, accept only cookies from sites you visit, or delete cookies. Refusing strictly necessary cookies will mean you cannot sign in or pay. Refusing functional cookies will mean we cannot credit referrals.
Browser instructions: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge.
B.6. Updates
We will update this Cookie Policy whenever we change which cookies we set. Material changes will be notified at least 14 days in advance via the website or email.
